Ensemble Selected for Department of Transport’s Freight Innovation Fund
Ensemble is pleased to announce its selection by the Department for Transport's Freight Innovation Fund to lead a significant trial aimed at improving operational efficiencies across UK ports. Over the next six months, Ensemble will implement its Athena platform at six key terminals, working in partnership with two of the UK's major port operators. Athena is a workforce scheduling tool designed specifically for ports and terminals. It features an industry-specific interface, the capability for Terminal Operating System (TOS) integration, and state-of-the-art features such as instant scheduling. The platform will be tested in daily operations at the ports, collaborating closely with scheduling teams to ensure seamless integration with existing processes while facilitating the transition to more efficient operations and communication in labour deployment.
This initiative underscores a commitment to innovation within the UK's freight transport sector. By introducing sophisticated technology, the project seeks to improve operational efficiency, thereby strengthening the UK's position in global trade logistics. This trial is a pivotal step in our mission to transform the logistics and transportation industry through digital innovation, helping UK ports maintain their leading status in global maritime logistics
