I already have an Human Resource Management System (HRMS) system, why do I need Athena? 

Athena is not an HRMS and will not replace your HRMS. Athena is a specialised operational scheduling tool that focuses on solving the intrinsic problems faced by operations workforce scheduling teams. In fact, Athena is specifically designed to get more out of your HRMS, by digitalising workforce management processes that previously were so complex that they were ‘solved’ with Excel. 

So why doesn’t my HRMS work for our operations team? HRMS are designed for coffee shops and hotels, not for complex operations. So HRMS fail to satisfy the requirements of operational teams, caused by some of the following: 

  • Multiple labour pools and business units 

  • Multi-skilled operatives 

  • Complexed shift rules

Athena is specifically designed solve the difficulties that traditional HRMS cannot address such as scheduling, timesheets, and skills management. This data is then integrated back into the HRMS for payroll and other financial reporting such as cost coding.
